The Diavolo Dance Company recently performed at the University of Wyoming and I was able to capture it in both video and still imagery.  The show was amazing and the dancers were phenomenal athletes who redefined, for me, what dance is. Needless to say, I really enjoyed the show. After the show the dancers answered audience questions and took the time to interact with the fans on a personal level, it was refreshing. They are truly a wonderful group of individuals.

I got to see the great Ingrid Jensen perform tonight at the Arts and Sciences Auditorium in Laramie on the University of Wyoming campus. The show was amazing. As a bonus, the music department hired me to film her and create a video for their website. I will link to it when it goes up.

Shooting Cowboys

The Wyoming Cowboys played Prairie View A&M tonight. The Cowboys won 85-70. Shooting in the Arena Auditorium is always interesting. The lights are focused to the center of the basketball court, outside of that the light falls off to become almost black in the stands. Additionally the court is a yellow wood color and reflects an odd yellow light onto the players. It is a challenging place to get good images.

A creative journey through Anatolia

I had the good fortune to spend almost a month exploring Turkey this past summer. There is going to be a gallery showing here on the UW campus at both the ASUW gallery in the Union and the UP gallery in the Fine Arts building. The show will include works from other art students who also went on the trip to Turkey. The opening will be on December 3rd at 5pm.

This tower was attached to a pile of rubble that used to be a mosque in Istanbul. It was across the street from my hotel. Several other students drew and painted this tower. There will be several versions of it in the show.
