I had the good fortune to spend almost a month exploring Turkey this past summer. There is going to be a gallery showing here on the UW campus at both the ASUW gallery in the Union and the UP gallery in the Fine Arts building. The show will include works from other art students who also went on the trip to Turkey. The opening will be on December 3rd at 5pm.

This tower was attached to a pile of rubble that used to be a mosque in Istanbul. It was across the street from my hotel. Several other students drew and painted this tower. There will be several versions of it in the show.
