Once again I had the privilege of shooting the Good Mule’s student conference. I had a great time and captured some incredible moments.

Saturday night was a blast. Stephanie and I spent the first part of our evening at the Alibi Bar hanging out with Brittany. There were some incredible costumes! Check them out here. The second part of the evening was spent shooting the Good Mule’s production of the Rocky Horror Picture Show” at the Laramie Civic Center. They did a fantastic job! Follow the link above for pictures from that event as well.

Shown here are the Wyoming Cowboys two senior players, Djibril Tham, Left and Rob Watsabaugh. (Jeremy Stegall) 85mm 1/250th, f2.8 ISO 125
Today was media day for the Wyoming Cowboys and Cowgirl basketball teams. I had a great time and was able to meet the players. This event serves as a reminder that basketball season will be starting very soon. Basketball coverage, like the game, has a much faster pace than football coverage. there multiple games each week and twice as much travel. There are at least 36 home games just in Laramie.
Photographically it a fun and challenging event. There were several other photographers who were also shooting portraits in the same room, each had his own poses and unique lighting setup. Above is my favorite image from the event. I used an umbrella high and to the right of the players and a key light with no diffusion directly below the camera.

No matter what type of shoot I do I always have a favorite image. It might not be the best image of the shoot or even make the cut for client delivery but I always have a favorite. This image is my favorite from the College of Business shoot this past week. The lines in the tile, soft focus and muted colors all combine to become something more than the sum of its parts.
