Remote setup finally works

This image was taken using my remote during the Cowgirls/Gonzaga game at the Arena Auditorium on Sunday afternoon.

I have been experimenting with my remote setup.I am using my old Nikon D2H body triggered by a Pocketwizard and mounted on a magic arm.

Mounting locations are fairly limited though. Generally I can mount the remote on a railing or up to head high on the goal. The first few times I tried it I was not getting properly focused images. I tried prefocusing on specific spots on the court, I tried selective focus on the net and near it. Finally i solved the problem by using the focus mode that focuses on the nearest object in the frame. Finally, it worked! now i just have to overcome the ISO noise and low light factors of shooting in the Arena Auditorium.

I shot the Cowgirls game last night. It was more exciting than the mens game the night before. The girls just seem to play better as a team.

Seen here is Emma Langford, a freshman from Australia. She had an amazing night, with a career high of 26 points it was like she couldnt miss.
